According to Indian computer emergency Response Team (CERT-In), the 130338 cyber incidents handled in the year 2014, a notable growth of around 82% when compared to the 71780 cyber incidents handled in the year 2013.
Indian computer emergency Response Team (CERT-In) is the national nodal agency for responding to computer security incidents as and when they occur.
It was further observed that the 82% growth in the no of cyber security incidents witnessed in 2014 marked a downward trend when compadres to the 225% growth in the year 2013.
Cybercrime however continues to remain a tough challenge for organizations. Over the years there has been a significant increase in the number of cybercrime attacks prompting organizations to stay alert and seek means to spread awareness to fight cybercrime threats.
