Infibeam launched a new domain “.OOO”after it was granted license by
Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers ( ICANN) last month.
The domain name OOO (Triple O – Alphabet O) is a top-level domain (TLD) in
the Domain Name System of the Internet. This new top-level domain is
launched and operated by Infibeam.
A research reported that trend of thousands of sites are already using .ooo
domain – Netcraft (January 2015).
The new generic top level domain (TLD) ‘.ooo’ to provides registration
options for the domain names that are already saturated or parked on the
well known TLD’s like .com, org, .biz and others. The .ooo is also claimed
to be mobile-friendly domain as it reduces the typographical errors due to
the presence of just a single alphabet.
Will it act or generate the same amount of traffic as .COM domains or so?
