Top 5 Ways to Reduce Acne Using Home Remedies

You can either leave the mask on overnight and then wash it off in the morning for better results or you can leave the mask for 30-40 minutes and then rinse it off with water.

2. Honey and cinnamon face mask

This is another very easy to make and very effective face mask at home. Method: To prepare the honey cinnamon mask, combine 3 tablespoons of honey with a 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder. Mix it and make a paste and gently apply it on your face. Keep the mask on for 8-10 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water.

3. Green tea for skin

Green tea due to its medicinal properties is not only beneficial for your overall health but also for your skin. Green tea as well kills the bacteria on your face which might because of acne on your skin. And here is a simple home remedy using green tea as a face mask to fight acne.

Method: Brew the green tea on a flame for a few minutes until it starts boiling. Let it cool down, and once it does take the leftover green tea leaves and apply them on your face. Keep it for 15-20 minutes and then rinse it off with water. Repeat this step for at least 3 times a week for better results and it’ll definitely clear the acne breakouts on your skin.

4. Rose water for acne

Rosewater which is rich in vitamin C and with its cleansing and anti-inflammatory properties kills the acne-causing bacteria and also preventing in any further breakouts. Rosewater with Multani Mitti acts as a perfect mask for acne treatment and here’s how you can make it.

Method: Combine 1 tablespoon of Multani Mitti with 1 tablespoon of rose water and mix them to form a smooth paste. Apply the paste on your face and leave it on for 12-15 minutes and rinse it off with cold water. Multani Mitti consists of essential minerals that will nourish your skin and so together with rose water will fight against acne and make your skin healthy and glowing.

5. Apply Aloe Vera or aloe gel on acne-prone area

While there are so many different remedies and stuff you can apply on your face but applying fresh aloe vera or aloe vera gel on acne-prone areas does wonders. Aloe vera is a medicinal plant that is easily available. It not only boosts the flow of the blood but also kills harmful bacteria on your skin. Leaving it overnight on your face and washing it off in the morning will also help clear your skin and reduce the redness caused by acne.
